20071021後勁慈雲宮的慶典ceremony of Houjin Che Yun Gon, Kaohsiung

每年農曆九月九日 高雄市後勁慈雲宮都有慶典活動 規模不大但是儀式不少 大抵 從月前就開始有零星的程序進行 為因應現代人的作息 規模較大的過平安橋儀式 選在最接近的週日進行 Every lunar Spet. 9th is the prominent ceremony of Houjin Che Yun Gon(HJCYG). The temple is at Houjin area, Nan-Tze district, Kaohsiung(not far from Tsoying). Of course, one of the gods is God of Prince, whose birthday is lunar Sept. 9 th The interior is all the gods in this temple, Taoism, Buddhism....

農曆九月九日是太子爺的生日 也是重陽節 在漢民族敬老尊賢的傳統原則的影響 成為一個全民重視的日子 因此太子爺成為當人不讓的主角 真是有意思The chief of this day is God of Prince, Tai-Tze-Ya. There is a ceremony as pass the Safe-Bridge. The god is in front of the bridge and beliver pass the bridge then pray by the taoist, in popular suit.

20070930 右昌地區廟會活動

右昌福德廟是右昌地區的守護神祁 規模頗大 明鄭時期 前鋒 左營 後勁 右昌是軍隊部署的規制 前鋒就是現在的左營區果貿社區 在左營舊城東門外 而右昌...等 率依舊名 因此有 規模宏偉的土地廟(福德正神) 20070930的慶典 就在此處到達高潮 The Fu-De Temple( main od is the Land God) is guarding temple of Yo-Chan area.The" Yo-Chan"( right side protection) is according to Koxinga's era whenever Chien-Fen( anterior attacking), Tso-Ying( left side protection) and Ho-Chien(posterior backup) are the military's arrangement, and the Land God is so that prominence


右昌的元帥府 是右昌地區的"境主神" 此廟祭祀不燒紙錢 只燒香 是該地區信眾的共識 乃南臺灣首見 (在台北市的行天宮也如此) 此外 廟名為"府"者 亦屬少見. The Yuan-Shuei Temple( God of Chief General or Marshal) is famous of it's prayer only by joss stick not with "paper-money" as well as Taipei's En-Chu-Gon Temple.

20070930 右昌地區廟會活動--煎油鼎

右昌(又名右沖)地區 位於高雄市西北方鄰近左營 其地理位置相近 許多民間活動也很頻繁 當日的廟會在右昌福德廟出現高潮 "煎油鼎"是民俗活動中驅逐惡煞的一種 1960年代之後 在左營已不多見 右昌地區 人文興盛, 楊仲鯨先生是漢民族 也是 臺灣第一位民選縣長 (1950年前後的花蓮縣長) 他就就是右昌人 其弟 楊清溪先生 是臺灣早期的飛行員 也是第一位 空難的犧牲者

The ceremony, Chein-Yu-Ding(to burning on an oil pot), is to defeat and expel the devils or ghosts, is a taoist style. It is rare since the late 1960 era on Tsoying. The movie is take at Yo-Chan, a suburban at northwest of Kaohsiung, near Tsoying.The Y0-Chan is a famous area for there are many persons noted on the Taiwan history. i.e.: Mr. Chong-Chin Yang(楊仲鯨), the first popular-elected head of a county--Hua-LienCounty-- in Taiwan, even in Chinese history, who's young brother Mr.Chin-Shi Yang(楊清溪), is a pilot in early flight history among the world and a first immolater of aircraft accident in Taiwan. Both are alumni of Chiu-Chen elementary school,Tsoying.

Chi-Jin Penisula,Pier 1 and entrance of harbor

Chi-Jin is said to be first area to develop as a city for Kaohsiung. It is must to be an error from the historical point. As " History of Feng-Shan County at 18 centery"(鳳山縣志), the first development area is actually Tsoying. The birdsview of Chi-Jin Penisula and end of Chai-Shan as two pillars of Kaohsiung Harbor, is a natural scene of Kaohsiung. 旗津據説是高雄市最早開發處(跟據"鳳山縣志" 應該是左營) 自空中看到旗津半島與柴山尾端形成之高雄港入口天然形勢

Also from a friend. The apehiil is at far left,the Pan-Ping Shan is at middle and the Da-Gan Shan is far middle. The white ship in the harbor, Royal Pacific, is fired few days later. May be it is the last view of it from air

Preface of My Kaohsiung

The 2008 campaign is now like a wildfire, esp. in DPP. The FMR mayor,Frank CT Hsieh is also a candidate.His culture background is excellent among the candidates although some rivalry attack him for his super-era views of the fate of Taiwan. He arouse the enthusiasm of Kaohsiungians, this is actually one real jewel but not Aviata-style. For I am a native of Kaohsiung, furthermore an offspring, to introduce from my standing point is obligatory. This blogspot will show Kaohsiung's now and passed as best as I can.

At first, I show here is courtesy from a relative who take the picture from a jet. The hill is Ape hill, named by Hollander at 1642, for there are many macaques, I call it a "Saint Hill of Kaohsiung", not only it is the highest (compare to the Pan-Ping Hill, at northern ) but its so near the downtown, the exclusively in the world. There is no other city to have a hill to be enjoy only half day, London?Tokyo? New York? Paris?....no,no exactly no.
